My first summer selling CUTCO Knives in the summer of 2012, I sold around 50K and made over 20K in less than three months. I owe a lot of that to Randy who directly worked with me as a coach and mentor. He developed me so that even though I was just a 17 year old kid who had never sold anything before could go on to win a national scholarship. If I had to say what specific skill Randy implanted in my during my years with CUTCO that had the biggest impact on me, it would be his methods on building meaningful, genuine, and long term professional relationships. When I learned just how important building that connection with customers was, I had an immediate impact in my business. I had customers going out of their way to do things such as calling their friends for me and setting up a time for me to meet them, and even years later I still get calls from those same people to buy Christmas presents from me. I can never thank Randy enough for the impact he’s had on me personally and professionally, and grateful to still be able to speak with him and pick his brain five years later.
